“Math fact fluency has always been a challenge for us in second grade. Last year we received a grant for Reflex. We noticed a huge difference in the fact fluency of students, as well as their willingness and interest in practicing. Reflex allowed us to track usage and fluency growth. As a whole we saw a connection between the two; the more they practiced, the more growth we saw. This transferred into math fact knowledge during math class, in games, and on assessments. This was an great asset at parent-teacher conferences, as we could show parents the correlation between the ‘homework’ that their kids were doing and their success. Many students even went above the second grade expectation of addition and subtraction and began practicing multiplication and division. It is our hope that the third grade teachers will see stronger fluency heading into their grade. his past year we utilized Reflex to support math fact fluency.
Reflex is like no other program in that it is interesting, entertaining, and appropriately challenging to students. We had great student growth and success. We even received great feedback from parents about how this program was far superior to other online practice programs. The students were engaged and wanted to log in to practice.”
