New Gizmo: Observing Weather

With two major hurricanes striking the U.S. and record monsoons in southern Asia, extreme weather events have been making headlines lately. The brand new Observing Weather Gizmo, which was designed for elementary and middle school students, allows students to observe a variety of weather conditions in different parts of the world, from an arctic blizzard to the scorching sun of the desert. Students will learn to read weather instruments, record data, and use graphs to compare weather conditions in different dates and locations.

The Gizmo comes in two flavors, metric units and U.S. customary units, depending on what you teach with. Both units are available in the Gizmo, allowing you to compare and convert units if you wish.
