Marble vs. Ping-Pong Ball? (New Gizmos!)

If you have a filled glass of water and you throw a marble in to it, how much water will spill over the edge? Suppose you just drop a ping-pong ball in to the same glass of water? Will water spill over the top? How much water? This is just one question that can be answered with one of the five new science Gizmos that we put up on the site yesterday.

To help answer the marble vs. ping-pong ball question you can use the Gizmo titled thumbnail of disease gizmoDetermining Density via Water Displacement. In this Gizmo you can use object B as a marble, and object E as a ping-pong ball.

The set of five new Gizmos include:

Circuits
Food chain
Potential energy on shelves

Herschel Experiment

The Herschel Experiment was originally performed in 1800 by Sir Frederick William Herschel when he was studying the electromagnetic spectrum. More imformation can be found on this external website.
