Following Up on Wednesday's Site Announcement

On Wednesday, November 5, we updated the site to resolve a problem for users with personal firewalls. We've heard from some of those users now, and so far the news is good! Larry Rice, a teacher in the Hawaii school district, writes:

Nice job. It [launching Gizmos from behind a personal firewall] seems to work fine now. It is great... I can do some class planning from home now. I continue to use at least one Geo Gizmo a week in class, we appreciate your excellent product.

Despite the early reports of success, if you continue to have any problems, and you have a personal firewall installed, please let us know!

In other news... If you read the post about Wednesday's update, then you know that we also added a feature for teachers who want to edit the names and descriptions of their classes. Unfortunately, teachers using Internet Explorer 5.5 on MacOS 9.x aren't having much luck with this: when they click the Submit button, nothing happens.

Rest assured we'll fix this bug as soon as we can! In the meantime, teachers with most other OS/browser combinations should have no problem.

Thanks again for all the great feedback on the site, the Gizmos, and our continuing efforts to provide you with a great user experience.
